Lupardo co-sponsors bill to abolish 129 authorities
Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo (D-Endwell) announced today that she is co-sponsoring legislation (A.11106) to downsize New York State government by abolishing 129 public authorities. The legislation comes after a recommendation by the Authorities Budget Office that these authorities should be dissolved.

Reaction to the State of the State address
Today, Governor David Paterson delivered a strong message of reform in his State of the State address. I believe the governor did a good job in detailing the challenges facing New York and the proof will be in how the Legislature responds.
