Lupardo & Brodsky criticize “price fixing scheme” for wholesale electricity rates
Today, Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo (D-Endwell) was joined by Assemblyman and Attorney General candidate Richard Brodsky (D-Westchester) at a press conference in Binghamton to discuss the impact of a “price-fixing scheme” run by the New York Independent Systems Operator (ISO) on electricity bills for local residents and businesses in the Southern Tier.
Statement in support of a property tax cap and mandate relief
As you may know, the state Senate recently passed a property tax cap bill. It’s not clear whether the bill will come up for a vote in the Assembly before the end of this year. Given the crushing burden of property taxes, especially on Upstate residents, something obviously needs to be done.
Statement on EPA hearing moving from BU to Syracuse
I am disappointed that Binghamton University and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) were not able to work out a suitable arrangement for the hearing. With it now being moved to Syracuse, this will be a major inconvenience for my constituents who planned on attending.
